compared to my twe the side impact of kiddy is much much better . wondering also whether to turn him forward to make use of better side impact ? wondering what people here think ...

I've got the Kiddy Guardian Pro 2 for DS, he's 13mo and about 10kg.

I was going to get an ERF but I need to be able to move the seat around between cars, so decided that the Kiddy was the best option otherwise I would have had an ERF professionally fitted at the in car safety centre.

The Kiddy is easy to fit, however DS has cottoned on how to kick off the shield before I get chance to thread the belt through, it's really easy to adjust the height/width, there's a removable booster cushion. The impact shield really seems to 'pen' DS in, he never looks all that comfy although he usually falls asleep quickly Smile

At 4+4mo I don't know whether you'll be using the shield, you thread the belt through where the shield fits in as they get bigger/older..

thank you . do you think it would fit in a vw polo?

I used to have a Polo, yes I'm sure it would fit.

hi, personally i would go with the rf seat.

i have had a britax two way elite in a 3 door polo and the twe, a KISS and a britax hi-way 2 in a 5 door polo, all in the rear passenger. they all fit well, although because of the shape of the seat you can't use the foam pad for the extra recline with the hi-way, this isn't as problem as ds is now 12 months.

the sides of the twe are apparently as high as the wings on the besafe but because the seat is so big it looks smaller. i've never measured it personally but was told this when i was getting my twe as i wasn't happy with it either but it was my only option at the time as i had underfloor storage.

:)

Impact cushions do give much better protection in a crash than a FF 5 point harness.

Something to do with the trauma being distributed along more of the spine rather than just the neck.

Hope that helps.

We have a kiddy for 2 year old ZdS and love it so much we got a second one to keep at grandparents' house abroad. DS loves it and puts the impact shield in place by himself.

Thank you. Computer sorted now, so I can type properly!

There is still a dilemma, but your replies have helped a lot!
