Confused about next car seat for dd

I had been all set to buy a ff seat, but have now found out that rf is safer. Really want a rf seat but can see some issues

One problem is the seat will be moved at least a few times a week between 3 different cars, is this feasible?

Also both me and my brother were terribly car sick as children. I still get sick if I don't look out the window ahead and tablets and bands don't work. if I get a rf seat and dd is sick all the time do they turn to be ff or will I have to pay for a new ff one?

Sorry if these are silly questions, really want to do the safest thing but don't want to waste money on a seat I can't use!

Always - You can get seats that rf or ff. The Britax Two Way Elite rear or forward faces 9-25kg (though the manual doesn't rec. ff until 15kg). The Britax Multi Tech (aka Volvo rfing seat that you can get from Volvo dealers) rf 9-25kg, ff 9-18kg or high back boosters 15-25kg. I'm almost certain there is another make of seat that can be rf/ff but can't remember right now.

If you have a higher up rfing seat the child should be able to see out of the back window (remove the head rest if needed).

Does your DD get sick at the moment in the car or is it just a possibility?

DD1 rf until 4.2y/o and was only sick once at about 2y/o (after eating Cheddars of course!). DD2 has just turned ff at 3.10 due to sickness but she has gastritis due to NSAIDs for arthritis treatment so feels sick all the time whether she is in the car or not. I don't like her ffing though as she is only 16kg!

The BeSafe Izi Combi ir forward and rear facing too, but isn't all that simple to fit. I had assumed the isofix version could forward face but I can't work out how that would work now. .

You may find that your daughter's fine rear facing if she isn't travel sick at the moment. I wonder if it's what you're used to that causes you to feel sick while rear/sideways facing. My daughter looked really sick forward facing and looking out of the window on a train last week. She's really not a sickly child at all so I was quite surprised.

The Besafe Izi Combi isofix does work ff but belted.

The next stage seat are usually harder than the infant carriers to fit. So moving any seat that frequently may be difficult

hi, we have the britax two way elite for ds1 and move it regularly. we have a set of tether straps in each car and it only takes a few minutes to install. i also have the hi-way 2 but it takes a bit longer to install.

Hi i have the TWE. Like Nicm said Its very easy to move between cars and doesnt take long at all if you have extra tether straps.

yes i would recommend the britax 2 way elite as well.
we have one and it's really easy to move between cars and can be used forwar facing if you really need to
