rear facing

It's the wrong agnle, they should be campaigning for making sure seats are fitted correctly Angry

I don't see the problem? They are emphasising that the car seats are hard to install properly and giving them bad ratings because of this. I would have thought that would make manufacturers take a bit more notice of how easy their systems are to install for people who haven't had specialist training i.e. parents.

It's confusing that they claim ERF seats are complicated to fit when they aren't that much more complicated than plenty of FF seats. Hmm

Exactly aswellasyou. They act as though they are new and complicated. Only in this country are we not able to fit them.

My Besafe Isofix - click onto ixofix, tighten brace and support leg. Done. TWE - Attach tethers, thread belt through and tighten.

Not really different to ff, really.

What we need to do is to educate properly.

The Maxi Cosi Mobi and Klippan Kiss 2 are both fitted in a similar way to Kiddy seats in that both sections of seat belt are threathed together under two hooks. I don't think Which? have tested either of those seats, but they've awarded Kiddy seats Best Buys, so they should both be awarded Best Buys too when they are tested. All the isofix ERF seats should be awarded Best Buys if they're only concerned about fitting.

A sinic might think there's someone paying them to downplay the benefits of rear facing. Wink

I agree with moonstorm. We have the Besafe Izi and it would be harder to install it incorrectly than correctly. It actually has green indicators to tell you when the seat is in correctly.

aswellasyou does seem to have a point too, there is a lot of anti-ERF feeling, but I guess manufacturers and retailers of forward facing have a lot of stock to shift.
