8 year old child.

Is she safer in front with shoulder seat belt or in the back with just a lap belt?

I know the law etc etc, I just want an answer on the above please.

My gut instinct would be front with proper shoulder belt but I don't really know, sorry!

not sure, i would say the front seat on a hbb with the seat push as far back as possible or the airbag switched off. if you ring the essex in car safey team they would tell you. have found them very helpful in the past.

front with a hbb. then front with a booster.

I wouldnt put an 8 year old in a seat with just a lap belt so i would say front seat with HBB

in the front in a high backed booster, with seat back as far as possible or airbag switched off
