How old is too old?

I have been given a second hand car seat from a friend. It's about 5 years old. Is that too old? Or could I use it for 6 months or a year maybe?

He might need to be drunk/unconscious first though. If the police arrest you for assault with a weapon likely to cause conception - it was nothing to do with me Wink

Should I be worried that you have this so clearly thought out?

DH wants a vasectomy and I would like another which we can't afford/cope with/transport and we have given all the baby stuff away so we are done. I still harbour a fantasy of baby no.4 though Sad

I habour a fantasy of baby no 6 and we have a three bed house, OH has MS and we are skint. AND I am nearly 44.

Yes, I have seizures and atopic illnesses and a minor but rare auto-immune disease, DH has the same as me except no seizures, DD1, DD2 & DD3 all have asthma & ezcema and DD2 has just been diagnosed with auto-immune diseases so we don't have the best genes from which to build new life any way.

Plus we'd need a new car (DH's main objection Hmm).
