Removable Second stage car seat

Quick question - are there any second-stage car seats that are removable? We don't have a car (and are not likely to get one any time soon) but we obviously want to have a car seat in the flat so that if we go somewhere with someone we can strap the wee man in. This is fine with a baby seat as it comes in and out pretty easily but what happens with the next stage? Are there any removable car seats? I can't figure it out!

The majority of them strap in using seatbelts. The only problem is they are bulky and difficult to carry.

They go in and out with seatbelts, yes. I had this problem as well and first of all would recommend using the baby seat for as long as is physically possible, and then I went for a Kiddy Infinity Pro for the next stage (there are quite a few seats like this now with the impact shield) - just because, a normal Group 1 (toddler) seat, although it goes in with the seatbelt, takes 5-10 minutes to fit, and not all seats fit in all cars because of the shape of the seat, length of the seatbelt, or style of buckle (inset or on a stalk thing). Whereas the one I have you just thread the seatbelt around the "shield" on the front, takes about 20 seconds (and DS is strapped in too!) and it's really light to carry from the house to the car as well. So for non-drivers it's fantastic. It gets really good safety recommendations too which is a bonus! :)
