Recommendations for cheaper end group 123 seat

We want to get a group 123 seat that will currently be the spare seat for Dads car/ friends coming out with us etc. with the idea that it will become DS's main seat when he grows out of his Britax first class, so about 4. We don't want to spend vast amounts as it will be used rarely and mostly just pottering round town. Not sure how I feel about the cheaper makes though. They must have passed the safety tests so am I being snobby silly to be unsure?

Any comments or recommendations very welcome.

It can be a false economy to buy a cheap one as the build quality may not be that good. My friend has this one It is fine for a second car but you have to check it is in tight every time as it works loose. I had it in my car and needed to tighten each time I put her child in. It also does'nt go up that high so although it says up to 11 it wouldn't take them up to the height when they still need a seat. My 9 wouldn't fit but she still has lots of growing room in her britax seat.
There are some with impact cushions that are properly as really good buy as build quality looks is good. You need to look to see how high the back goes up.

That's useful to know as the whole point is he would be in it from 4 as his main seat. Thanks.
