car seat for 2 1/2yr old

am just about to buy a new car as old one is shot. unfortunaly the carseat we have for our 2 1/2 yr old won't fit cause of the anchor point of the seatbelt being what i call 'floppy' as apposed to 'fixed'/rigid. Sooo am looking at getting a new one. Would really like a kiddy comfort pro but not sure if our buget will allow that, so what i want to know is what car seats would you recomend. This is my criteria:
*Can't have buckle crunch(so all seats similar to my maxi cosi priori are out)
*Need it ideally to be a 123 stage one as don't want to have to buy yet another seat when he gets to about 4.
*needs to be as narrow as poss in case of needing to fit 3 car seats across the back!Wink.

Although our buget isn't huge i don't really want to buy a cheap seat just because its cheap.

can't have a 2 way elite as it needs to rest on the front seats and these are constantly moving as hubby is taller than me and we both drive.

anyone got any ideas?
The car we are getting is a toyata corrola verso but the 5 seater version not the 7 seater.

Recaro Young sport?

Phil and Teds Tott XT.

Obviously would need to be checked for buckle crunch- sympathys our old car had it. Really limited choices.

The seat we used when we had buckle crunch was britax first class belted through alternative routing.

Obviously this isnt ideal as only stage 1 unless someone has one you could borrow from?

my mum has a first class in her car which she uses wen lookling after gkids but also uses it for other children she looks after.
other gp's have a britax renasiance(sp?) which should fit but not particularly the easiest seat to be keeping swapping into each others car(they have ds1 and 2 for a day every week)Could maybe do that for now whilst still looking.
Will have a look at those other 2.
