Where to find spare parts for Jane Matrix

Hello all,
My sister has given me her old Jane Matrix Car Seat but somewhere along the line the two seatbelt clips to be used in the lie down position have gone missing. I think they cost about £25 to buy a new pair which seems a tad expensive!

Can anybody recommend a good way of getting hold of some (have been looking on gumtree and ebay for a while)? I'm thinking that there must be people out there who have had this car seat and don't need it anymore - it might not be in good enough condition to sell but I'd be happy to buy the clips for a small amount..... It's just a matter of finding these people.

Just coming up to 38 weeks so starting to run out of time....

Any suggestions gratefully received!

hi,is it the matrix pro or the older matrix?

Jeebers · 18/11/2010 19:09

it's the older matrix. I think she got it for her first who's now 6.

im pretty sure its not recommended to use that model lying flat?it was slated in the which report???
carseats also only have a lifespan of about 5/6years,so might be best to replace it.

oh ok, thanks for that. I hadn't heard about that before. Aren't Jane still making the lie flat car seats though? Are the newer ones safer do you know?

I wanted to use a lie flat one as we often go on long journeys and with the whole thing of only letting a baby be in the car seat for a maximum of 2 hours at a time...... Even with frequent stops it seemed too long to have them sitting in the car seat. Confused

Complety agree about not using it lie flat. Personally wouldn't invest in a sleeper either. It won't be used for long and soon redundant
