how will i know if my car has isofix points?

I am wondering if my car has isofix points so if I want to buy a car seat with an isofix base I can? My car is a 2001 reg so is this way too old? Are these isofix bases really a lot safer?

If 2001 then it probably doesn't have isofixings - Have a rumage around in the back seat gap where the back part meets the seat part.

If you have them you will find them they look like these sockets in the purpley drawings.
