Any ideas on what carseat I should get for DS?

DS is only 9 weeks but he is a big baby and I can see that he be too big for his infant carseat before he is actually old enough to go into the forward facing next stage ones, if that makes sense?

So, what are the options? I have looked at rearfacing carseats but they are ££££ that we simply do not have.

TIA.

have you looked at the britax two way elite? it is much cheaper than the maxi cosi priorifix i originally wanted before i found out about rf. think it was £185 and the priorifix was £275.

your ds can stay in his baby seat to his head reaches the top or he is 13kgs.

The longer they stay in a rear facing, car seat, the safer they are.

I know Lynette which is why I want to try and get something else rearfacing, but when I looked on some rearfacing website they were all £££££ and from Sweden.

nicm where can you get one? Have googled but found none for sale.

QOFE, i got mine here. www.incarsafetycentre.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/30/products_id/46?osCsid=akfm0q7burdm284d1lrrpucfq2

i also heard on the rf website that you can get the britax multitech from a volvo garage for £160 only it is sold as a volvo car seat.

My DS went into a Britax First Class si at 4 months of age. He is now 13 months and still rear-facing. It is easy to install and will convert to forward facing when he is ready.
However, we do have a Britax 2 Way Elite pegged for him when he hits 13kgs.

Britax Hiway????

At this point the Multitech and the TWE are too big for the baby. The harness start too high up for a baby that young.

What makes you think he is too big for the infant carrier? Can you post photos?

Multitech. The youngest baby is 10 months old and still in the bottom settings:

Hiway is a good bet and not the most exspensive one either:

I also have a britax First Class so that I can keep my dd rear facinging for longer. It can be used rear facing up to 13kg and the seet is designed to take a child up to 4y front facing so is much bigger than an infant carrier . She is now 18 months but only just over 9kg. She looks like she will fit for quite a while yet. I got it today at halfords for £109 which was less than any other rear facing option I could find.
