it's a bit like the bebe confort iseos and the britax first class isn;t it

only rear-faces to 13kg

SuzieQ1971 · 04/09/2010 20:51

unlike the 1st class it swivels on it's base, so there's no need to fully remove it from the car to turn it around, it's great for gandparents/childminders as it's straps are easy to adjust etc

yeah, but it's a lot of money just so that you can swivel it around once your child reached 13kg!!!

SuzieQ1971 · 04/09/2010 21:04

if you eliminate not having to remove the seat to adjust harnesses, not having to worry if the foot of seat is in right place, the seat is at the correct angle when rear facing and the harness buckle is in the correct position, then sometimes spending a little extra money to give you a peace of mind is well worth it

if i was going to spend that much i'd just buy a proper rear-facing seat though. much safer.

in fact, maxi cosi make one. they just won't sell it over here because they think we're too stiupid to use it and won't like the fabrics.

my opinion of Dorel overall is pretty low

thisisyesterday · 04/09/2010 21:07

oh and any old isofix seat would eliminate most of those problems anyway. i wonder why this isn't isofix

SuzieQ1971 · 04/09/2010 21:09

Hun, i've only posted this on here to show fellow parents that another 0+/1 seat is on the market, not to get into a fullblown debate.

no-one is making you debate it.
i just posted my opinion of the seat.just as you did

TruthSweet · 05/09/2010 21:55

Looks like it would make a good 2nd seat for friends cars/emergencies/grandparents/etc but I would want a proper rearfacer for a main seat. Unfortunately the price leaves much to be desired - £220 - and I wouldn't purchase it when our back up First Class expires.
