I looked at this before I bought a seat for my second child as I often have my friends children who are younger in the car. If it is only for a four year old unless they are very light you don't use the base or the protection pillow. It is also very heavy. The tilting head rest when I looked at it is not something a child could use and seamed really flimsy which I thought would break easily. Have you tried reclining your rodi. Have you got issofix as issofix seat for this age group recline better and are more stable when reclined. Different seats in cars are more upright. We have britax kidfix car seats in my husbands clio they are so upright they always have to be reclined a bit or are girls 4 and 8 lean forward. Hope this helps

we haven't got isofix unfortunately, we have an 03 Galaxy. I love the rodi apart from this problem ds2 often sleeps on long journeys. We have 5-6hr journey in a couple of weeks and i hate to see his head lolling around i worry what the effect would be in a collision.

Have tried to recline rodi but then has he sits in it automatically slides back into upright. I've ordered the pallas now to try.
