Have been reading up on car seats for a soon to arrive September baby. We have a Toyota Corrolla 53 Reg which has Isofix if need be, but is only a 3 door hatchback. We'd wanted to use a rear facing seat for a long as possible, and preferably buy a seat that was suitable from birth so had settled on a KISS/Duologic.

Just rang the ladies at In Car Safety to make an appointment and been told that as I only have a 3 door it wouldn't be a very good idea to get a KISS as wouldn't have enough room to get baby in and out

So now what? She recommended a Two Way Elite, but obviously that's not from birth, and then I have to admit I drifted off!

Changing the car is not an option, and whilst safety of our PFB is paramount we're not made of money.

Feel like I'm back at square one again. Help?

can you switch the airbag off? you could use the KISS in the front when dc a baby and then when they can climb in could you not use it in the back, so you just have to get in and do up the buckle? i have used this in mils car which is 3 door but ds is 2.4 months and can get himself in and out. i wouldn't fancy lifting a baby seat in and out of a 3 door car either-but that would be any seat not just the KISS.

If you know someone with an infant carrier that you can borrow, then you can use that. When it is outgrown, you can buy the TWE.

TWE has low sides, which makes it easy for a child to climb in and out of it.

The infant carrier can be seated on the front seat if the airbag can beturned off.
