Sorry for weird sounding post! I just noticed from another thread that you are in Devon, and I wondered if I could pick your brains about a rear-facing carseat for my DS. Just started shopping for a Group 1 seat as he's 9 months old and about an inch short of too tall for his infant Maxi Cosi seat. I'm near Exeter and wondered if you could recommend somewhere in Devon to try out some rear-facing seats. I have a Golf and a tall husband (who is always the passenger - he's great at lots of things, bless him, but driving's not one of them!). I've heard The Devon Pram Centre in Honiton has a few good rear-facing seats. I quite like the sound of the Britax Two Way Elite.

Hope I'm not sounding like a creepy stalker! Also, sorry about my user name. It's based on my real life name, and not an indication that I'm a 'troll' in the internet forum sense.

There. Think I've waffled in a sufficiently lengthy and off-putting manner. I'll just hit the send button then...

No probs at all I'd love to help. I live about 10 minutes outside of Exeter- Ottery St Mary

I've got two rear facing seats you can try, and I can tell you all about the nearest shops- I previously bought quite a bit from the honiton pram centre, but I have to say I'm severly unimpressed with their knowledge on rearfacing - they told me that the besafe belt couldn't be fitted in my car, when I had it wonderfully strapped in sat outside their shop!!!! Unfortunately I think it's a classic moment of people trying to push you towards the seats they have in stock (before doing my research on rear facing I ended up buying a very expensive seat from them based on their advice )

Anyway, not sure how best to contact me- are we allowed to post email addy's / tel numbers on here? how does it work?!!!! Sorry for being so clueless!!!!

Ps- I'm also tall (6foot) so I can help talk about that side of things too

Ooh! I'd love to talk to you about your recommendations for rear-facing seats. I'm in Topsham, so I can get over to Ottery in a flash. I'll see if I'm set up on here to send and receive messages. Hang on...

Right. I just set m email options to allow CAT messaging. I have no idea what that means but I think if you click on 'contact poster' (to the right of my name at the beginning of any of my posts), and follow the instructions, you should be able to send me an email. Hope that's ok!
