carseat touching

Carseat touching is this really a problem and why. I have been to buy a cheap booster seat for my eight year old so we can fit three children in my friends car and was told car seat should not touch at all because of buckle crunch. My car has buckles that are in the seat so the buckle never touch anyway and at least one seat would be on issofix. Would it really be a problem to have three stage one seats all on issofix in my car. Was a nanny for many year and often had three children in the back of a car the carseat touched but not the buckles. I can't beleve there would be a single car that you could get three children in one row based on seats not touching and leaving 2-3 cm round them.

i've never heard that the seats shouldnt touch?
i honestly think that would be impossible unless you only had 2 seats in the back.

so long as the buckles are not touching then the seats are safe as far as im aware.

i have 3 seats in the back of my car and they all touch,
