Mothercare Spin carseat

We've got the Spin pram, and were going to get the carseat to go with it. There's now an adaptor for the maxi-cosi but I didn't like the side-clips for lifting it off, hence the Spin seat with its central button seemed great.

But ... the three reviews on Mothercare.com are actually quite negative despite the woman I saw with one at a zoo being very positive when I asked her.

So... opinions sought!

Go with the Spin seat, or spend the extra on the maxi cosi and adaptor?

Ah well, in the end circumstances made the decision - the Spin seat is out of stock for 4-6 weeks and we can't wait that long! Picked up the MC last night (and it does fit the car!).

i've been having the same problem, i have the spin pushchair but im undecided about the seat due to negative reviews..where have u seen the maxi cosi seat and adapters? as i personally think i'd feel at ease with the maxi cosi as iv never read a bad review about 1. And id rather my child be safe and comftable rather than have "the seatbelt digging in the child head" as it says on 1 of the reviews .

We got the maxicosi car seat from Halfords (on offer for £95) and the adaptors from Mothercare. They now also sell adaptors for the Britax car seat as well.
