Waiting for breast lump biopsy results after mixed clinic opinions

Hello all. I found a lump in my right breast 2 weeks ago, went GP and had an appointment at the breast clinic yesterday.
The consultant examined me and said the lump i found felt glandular, and then he found another lump in the same breast.
I went on to a mammogram, and ultrasound where the radiologist said the original lump was nothing suspicious and she was going to take 2 biopsies. After taking 2, she said she needed 2 more, so 4 in total.

I went back to the consultant for results appointment expecting him to copy what the radiologist said, and he said im going to be straight with you, she thinks its benign, i am not sure.
I was a bit astounded and didnt really question him, my appointment for results is 23rd October or sooner if they get a cancellation but i feel silly for not asking questiions.
Can anyone relate?

Thank you

Try to remain positive....once they have the results you'll know for sure.
Try not to read too much into yet, or overthink it.
Once you get your results you'll know what it is and then they will give you the best advice. Be strong.

Until they get the biopsy results they won’t know. They can see quite a lot on ultrasound but not everything so it’s good they are being super thorough taking the biopsies etc. it is agony though, waiting for results, time slows down with worry - I really get that, having been through the diagnostics process myself. Take heart that you are in the system now and will get answers soon.

The radiologists often know best! My radiologist was spot on throughout whereas my surgeon didn’t think mine was malignant.

At my recent breast clinic (recall from a routine mammogram) I was told that if just one of the various experts thinks something needs looking at in more depth, then they have a look, even if all the others don’t think so (subject to the patients consent of course). I found that quite comforting, that they really make sure. I don’t know if that helps reframe it - the wait for results is anxiety inducing.
