Besides myself with worry. Im on 2WW and have an appointment next week.. can't muster up the energy to do anything between now and then. My daily routine has gone out the window

I had cancer last year, a different type. It didn't spread and I was clear of it

Mine was 200. The doctor rang me on a Saturday when I was on a short break. Was booked in for colonoscopy. Result was no cancer. There were a few polyps which they removed but all okay in the end. It’s a worrying time so I feel for you, OP. It’s not necessarily cancer though.

Remember lots of innocent reasons for blood in the bowel, polyps being a common cause, inflammation, even piles (they can be internal so you wouldn’t know). It’s not a forgone conclusion that’s it’s cancer by any means.

I was told that 9 out of 10 positive FIT tests do not lead to a diagnosis of cancer.
And even if they do (unfortunately mine did) then bowel cancer is generally slow growing and often relatively simple to treat via surgery.

It's scary, but try not to focus on it (easier said than done, I know)

OP how are you doing now?
