Facial cancerous mole removed and now another one a year later

So my partner had a mole removed a year ago - it had been bleeding for a long while. The NHS clinic said it was a non malignant type. But no biopsy was done and no scans. Now a year on another growth has appeared in the same area but not the same exact spot. He went to a private dermatologist on our insurance who is doing a biopsy this week coming and said it could be nothing or it could be squamous carcinoma. I am so worried. Could this be secondary or am I worrying needlessly? He is the only person working in our household and things are very stressful without the health issues as it is. He has a lot of headaches and tiredness and I am worried but don't want to tell him how much. Can anyone reassure me?
