I was declined my chemo because my liver levels werent good enough. My oncologist thinks it was because i was taking too many painkillers. (Paracetamol and ibuprofen. This week after stopping them my levels were fine

I am having awful headaches which bring on the nausea so need something that is less aggressive on my liver

Any advice?

surely ask your oncologist?

You need to ask your oncologist or GP. Different pain meds are prescribed depending upon the type of pain and you need professional advice on that.

Does your hospital have a pain management or palliative care team? Those are the folks who would have the best knowledge/access to the right drugs for your situation and ongoing monitoring. Ask your oncologist to be referred to them if possible.

I find I get awful headaches when my head gets cold, now I have no hair. I had foliculitus for a while, so struggled to cover my head with anything as it was too uncomfortable, and so had near constant headaches. Fusidic acid for my scalp, rash has cleared, wearing hats again, and the headaches have gone (except when my hat falls off at night, which isn't the nicest way to wake up)

I would probably try to figure out the root cause of the headaches if possible, and as others have said, speak to your team. They should either be able to offer alternative medications, or help you get to the cause, and stop it.

Sorry i should have been clearer. Im looking for non medicine. Things that aren't going tomess with my liver. My oncologist has prescribed an alternative but says all painkillers can affeƧt the liver to some level
