Hi all,

We are planning a group family holiday next year (August) - 3 families each with 3 kids, ranging from what will be 6 months to 10 years.
We are wanting to take our own tents and go on the ferry across to France BUT we have no idea where to go once there!

Can anyone recommend a good site for families that's not too much of a drive after getting off the ferry? We're thinking of going for 1 week.

Thanks in advance!

We stayed at croix de vieux pont for half term week. v nice site good facilities indoor and outdoor pools. The only thing I would say is that they have several pond/lakes so wouldn't really re commend to parents of toddlers.

We have stayed her close to Dunkirk before. About 20 mins from Calais and the best sandy beach you could possibly imagine....weather permitting of course. We are planning a long weekend in August...

I agree with Welshdeb. We have stayed there a couple of times and inlaws have also been there a couple of times. It really is a nice site. I didnt think that the lakes and river were a problem as many of the pitches are well away from them but then we lived for years in the Netherlands so are a bit blase about water.
