We stayed in South Park, which was far enough away from the not very noisy pool/pub area at night, the toilet block at offset at the top and the check-in/cafe at the bottom, it was ideal really. However, it is a mix of caravans and tents which might not appeal to some. The tents/caravans skirt the perimeter so there is a nice central area for play.

Thanks... that does look like a good central area to stay in...

did you enjoy your time there?

We've been twice, stayed once in Rabbit's Grove and the second time in the bit on the right of the driveway, southern edge of the park (if you're looking at the map) - can't remember what it's called. Both were nice for different reasons. Both times however I just took whatever they could offer me as its extremley popular and neither time was I early enough (the second time we booked in something like March or April for an August stay). It's a great site.

We had a fab time and if no 3 weren't imminent we would be going back this year. It was really relaxed and safe for the children who are a little younger than yours. The pool is brr but would be lovely in this heat. There are also a few swings, sandpit, archery lessons...would suggest if you have the room to take own bikes. Cafe is a bit pricey but a lot of ppl bbq-ed, had these outside their tents and it is a mecca for crocs!

Re the touristy stuff went to the beach, Fitton Lake, Thrigby Hall but didn't make Bewilderwood as it rained.

Cedar Lawn,
Cedar Lawn,
Cedar Lawn.

That is the area that gets booked quickest and if you want the best pitch number (just opposite the excellent for climbing cedar tree, and backing onto the woods, for den building) that would be pitch number 16.

Not that I am an expert or anything

Afaik Clippsby Hall is fully booked this year, when I phoned two months ago, they told me to try in September to book for next summer.

Serin, I know which pitch I will be trying to book when I do now

I have booked today for the last week in august, the pitch is in pine woods area or we could have had rabbit something?

really excited and looking forward to going... if we really love it i think we will book ahead for next year..

thanks all
