Ok - I've got me WOMAD tickets and I'm blimin well going and as there's no one to babysit and DP can't come, lovely DD (2.5) is coming too. I'm an eco freak londoner who cycles and I can't drive - so we're going on the bus. Only problem is HOW in the name of all that is holy do I get self, DD, substantial tent, sleeping bags, clothes, camping clobber and solar powered lights to victoria coach station from SE london? And then across the site at the other end? Do I bother with a buggy? Or should I just get some kind of industrial trolley. Anyone done this before or am I a lone nutter in the camping wilderness...

I'm taking 2 year old to one festival & on one a camping trip on trains this summer. Really not sure quite how am going to manage it! I think maybe take a buggy for the storage help?! Is your tent small enough to fit in a (big) rucksack? Any friends who are driving?

Can you borrow a big wheeled double buggy with a reclining chair in the back for her to nap in when tired and use the underneath and front to put your stuff in? I think you could strap a tent onto it, use underneath for clothes, stove, lights then use the front seat for sleeping bags then hang a bag over the handle for snacks/ drinks and take a rucksack on your back for anything else?

I would also take a hi viz vest for your dd to wear with your phone number on incase she wanders off/ gets lost in the crowds.

Put DD on your back and the stuff in a trolley. Could you borrow a smaller tent?
