How many of you take your kids bikes?

On the site we're going to the kids can ride their bikes wherever we want.Only going to this site for a week(Cornwall).

Not sure if I can be arsed,would I be a meany mum????

We take them if we can fit them in, but we often only take dd1 and dd2's fold-down scooters and dd3's balance bike.

IM(admittedly limited)E most children do have either their bikes or scooters when camping. It's as traditional as walkie-talkies

Every year we plan to take the kids bikes and say 'well we'll see if they'll fit when we have packed everything else in the car'.

We have never taken the kids bikes........

We always take them, (and ours) on our long hol in France. The kids use them loads on the sites and we go for long rides en famille. Bikes are invaluable for them making friends and keeping amused and out of your way for a bit

If you can get them in or on the car go for it, my 7 yr old especially loves her bike, she struggles socially so it helps her to fit in with the other kids, her absolute fave thing to do is cycle to the loo its sooo funny, she feels so grown up. Older Dd will ride to the shop to do the ice pack thing too, in exchange for sweets usually, lol. Our problem is that we outgrew our escort and had to buy a bigger car, got a zafira now so it should be easier to fit everything in and tow bar mounted bike rack for bikes.
Hope you have fun whatever you decide. We are heading for the river dart country park next monday for 8 nights, I can't wait.
