We bought outs from Argo. It wasn't a lot more than 100 I think about three years ago. Can I be remembering that right?

Anyway it was a good tent. You could check the website.

We have just downsized & bought this Khyam which is one of the only 4 man tents that takes 2 double air beds & you can stand up in. The reviews on UK campsite are amazing too.

We've got a Vango Pennine 500. It seems to get truly awful reviews but I think it's pretty good, v spacious and tall which is important for us (dh is 6'4"). I do wish it had some kind of vertical pocket storage though, which a lot of tents do now. The reviews all mention a mistake in the instructions, which is true, and that the poles are a bit fragile - we have had a couple of minor pole breakages but very fixable. It was a really good price too.

I think the only way to go is to go to an outdoors shop and to see the tents 'up'.

We have just spent our first night camping in our new Quechua 4.2 four person, pop-up tent www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/1/Quechua-Base-Seconds-4.2/972
It was fantastic, so quick and easy to set-up.
The reviews are all excellent too - not just for speed of erection but also for quality and performance in wet/windy weather.

We also have a Quechua Base Seconds 4.2. We got it from Decathlon for £149.99. It is by far the easiest tent to put up, ever! You can also add onto it if you want more space. It has a full height living area and two bedroom pods, plenty of space for a family of four. There is a nice video on the Quechua website of a family using the tent. if you have a Decathlon near you, go and check it out, the staff at the one near us are very helpful.

I would agree with those who say check out a larger tent than your family size - we have a mahoosive Bear Lake 6 for our family of 3! It's an Outwell tent and they have a fab range to look at.
