Camp Bestival - Anyone Going or Been??

Think I am probably more excited about going to this then our proper Summer Holiday!! Me, DH and DD (6) will be attending - anyone else??

Anyone been before and got tips/tales?

Sorry, not been but live very close to Bestival site so always thin Camp Bestival might be 'better' now we have DCs.

Will watch this thread with interest - although ours are only 3 and 1.

Sure you will have a great time tho...

I really want to go with Dh, Ds1 8 and Ds2 3, Dh is all weedy about it, the camping aspect, but I really want to do something new and fun this year, break out, go native!!!!

Will watch with interest. Are you camping?

Carocaro - think they only doing camping tickets this year - yeah ive only got into to camping because we have to to do this , I figured the same as you ? you only live once and this is bound to be one of those experiences we will all never forget ? hopefully ;-) Can?t wait to see Mr Tumble!

We're going! Our first time too! Me, DH, DS1 (will be 4.11) and DS2 (2.7) I'm stupidly excited!

Yay!! jumps up and down with Mrs Ticklemouse its going to be so much fun! Are you looking forward to seeing anyone in particular?? I'm looking forward to Stornoway, friendly fires , Madness, Human league and of course Mr Tumble!

Went last year, it was my first ever festival and was very nervous of the loos, food and being cramped in - was absolutely brilliant, had the best time ever - food was quite pricey but great - so much choice.

Loads of free stuff for kids to do, great music and comedy, somthing for everyone. We went with a few festival regulars and it was a bit too commercial for them but we loved it.

Two tips - take plenty of cash - there is a cash machine there but queues go on forever, make sure you see the Cuban Brothers - bloody fantastic.

We would be going this year but it clashes with our holiday - will try and plan better next year.
