Weather permitting we are hoping to visit Angelsey for 3 nights at the end of June. So I would really appreciate your recommendations.

I have a 3.10 DD and 18mth DS...

Home Farm - without a doubt.
Tyddyn Isaf is also nice though.

Will post more when I've made the school packed lunches

There are loads of lovely sites there , check out uk campsites for reviews.
Don't go to Fedw Uchaf , we went last year not nice at all.

We visited a lovely little site called white lodge whilst we were there for lunch.

We stayed at White Lodge last weekend. Its a basic site but has a fab cafe, small play area and about 20 pitches in total. £20/night inc hook up. They are refurbishing the place so ladies showers are new (though very small). There is access through a toll road directtly onto the beach.
Its on the west of the island. We went to visit Benlect (yes i know its spelt wrong!) and have to say that side of the island is much more suited to tourists so it depends what you like!

That's interesting Millimat as I've often looked at White Lodge but it looked rather grotty. If they are doing it up then it's in the perfect place as the beach at Newborough is amazing.

lucycat I've just booked Home farm for Aug - do you know if they accept bbqs?

Lucycat · 21/06/2010 16:26

madamy as far as I can rememeber they do - I can't rememeber that they didn't iykwim.
A lot of sites provide bricks for you to put disposable bbqs onto to stop them scorching the grass.

It's been a few years since we camped there - ever since the Frozen Whit of 2007.

lucycat Home Farm is booked for this weekend, lets hope it stays sunny!

madamy I asked about the bbq, and yes they are allowed as long as they are off the grass. I think she said you canhire a disposable table or something to put it on if its only got little legs.

I am really starting to love my tent
