On the camp site tariffs what do they mean by pup tent? I assume small tent along side your family one?

DH thinks it's referring to little triangular frame tents (the sort that take one person or two if they are really friendly), especially old army issue type tents.

i thoughts so - people often seem to have their teenager in small separate tent !!

my sister-in-law is going to camp with us, and she has a small two man mountain tent - seems cheaper to class her as a pup rather than a separate camper in her own right!
