Hi, has anyone stayed at river dart campsite ashburton devon? Thinking of going at end of month with 15 month old and 3 year old and myself and other half. Is there a good place to pitch - not near the river!! etc.....What did you think of site?

Fab place. We went a couple of years ago when my kids were 7ish and they still talk about it now, loads of room to camp, none of which are near river particularly. I do think your children are slightly too young to enjoy the best of it, but you'll still have a good time. Lovely lake to paddle in, and playgrounds. Nice restaurant on site.

My girls are desperate to go again despite having been on lovely foreign holidays since, they always talk about this campsite, but we are in London and I usually only camp for two or three nights and this is quite a drive for that short time. That's a crap excuse, reading that back, I should do it!

Have fun.

We live very close to it and as Sandy says there is lots for little ones to do but they're a bit young for everything. We took ours at that age though, there is also masses to do for little ones nearby.

Blimey at that price I might do the same as the park is expensive, might do a week in the hols and dp could cycle to work from the campsite .

When did you book for?

You must go to The Miniature Pony Centre,my kids have practically grown up there, masses to do for tiny ones.

You've also got beaches, the moor.... you could literally do something different everyday if you want to venture further.
