cropton forest is nice. It's just outside Pickering. nice brewery/pub nearby.
can get very midge infested though.

Oooh thanks Joosey. Brewery would keep dh happy! It's for this weekend so probably don't need to worry about midges yet.

Anyone camped in Rosedale?

We're hoping to go appletreewick for the weekend in June. Considering we live in Yorkshire, I can't believe we have only ever camped in Settle in Yorkshire!!

Just been to Middlewood Farm at Robin Hoods Bay for the fourth year in a row.

Its lovely. Got a little play park. Plenty toilets and showers. 10 mins walk through the fields and woods down into the bay, where there are lovely pubs, cafes, and beach with rock pools etc.

Its got more holiday-park ish over the years and they pack you in, but its got a nice relaxed feel and is ideally located I think in between Whitby and Scarborough, but we just stick to RHB itself when we go.

Vale of Pickering - in Allerston between Pickering & Scarborough. Lovely site, fab play area and easy trip to Scarborough.
