1st time camping in france....

am off on sat and am v v excited...but am wondering if theres anything you need or is different at french campsites you wouldn't think of if here ???
have been told cooking gas different so will have to get new full one as not sure how much left in ours from last year anything else! thanks

Are you ok with the driving aspect and the legalities of driving in France? this link from ukcampin is a really good read.

Do you have ehu? as obviously you'll need an adapter for a continental hook up.
The gas isn't usually a problem, campsites can always steer you in the right direction if necessary.

Where in France are you heading? (v envious as we have a few more weeks to wait )

as not too far to drive from Calais, expecting weather to not be great but this place has an indoor pool which is why we've picked it...me i just want to be in france.....eating seafood, drinking wine, going to markets, fresh croissants for breakfast etc etc

have bookmarked the one you linked to last year! as a possible for next year ...could only face the drive if going for 2 weeks but one day...
