Anyone been to Pentewan Sands in cornwall

We are camping there and have booked a pitch about 2 rows from the beach front. Any review, good or bad are welcome.

I'm not very up to date but this may help! We stayed there a couple of times a few years ago. I think the last time DS was about 4 and DD about 2, so that would be about 2003ish. The sands are lovely and the children enjoyed the pool very much. My parents in law came too, bringing their TV and I know that in 2001 there was no reception (this didn't bother any of us until Sept 11th). There was a nice pub in the village nearby.

The only downside that I recall was that you could hear the club till quite late - late that is if you are a sleep deprived mother!

Mixed bag really; we had terrible weather though which always makes one feel less positive IME

Clubhouse was a bit tatty and cash machine always out of order. Tents were ofetn too close together and on last day we were a bit miffed as the owners let in the family who had our pitch at 8am and we had to pack up with them satring at us, saying how it was basically their pitch and they were regulars- wouldn't even leyt us go and get brekkie fore the kids in peace, actually put a huge downer on it all

Beach was gorgeous though, pub over ahrbour nice, pool looked nice but was too cold to use- on a hot one would have appreciated it I think. toilet / shower facillities nice and always clean, Mevagissey gorgeous and ferry from menagissey to Fowey made a nice trip.
