First camping trip as a family - recommend us somewhere to go next weekend

Since everytime we intended to go camping last year it rained, we hope to have more luck this year.

So, we need to find somewhere to go for our first weekend away with DS (4) - thought we wouldn't go too far this time, so Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire area.

Any recommendations ? A playground and hot water would be good, but not too fussy otherwise

We went here for our first trip it was friendly and I'm sure it had a park lots of space for riding bikes there are ducks to watch as well. Happing camping

I think it'll be busy, and you won't get much choice I'm afraid. Best to look on UK Campsite search. We've been to Cotswold View once a year for the past few years and like it, but may be full.

We enjoyed it here a couple of summers ago. You're right on the edge of the Slimbridge wetlands and loads of families were cycling around it, and also along the banks of the canal. Nice site, and even nicer pub.

Thanks for the recommendations - will see what we can get
