chemical loo or a bucket with a lid

MMM, savoury topic! At the moment we have neither, but it's not always appropriate to carry a spade and bogroll. The commodes in hospital are horrible and smell awful. Is there any difference in quality of chemical loos? Anyone have any thoughts?

So.... Does everyone just keep quiet about this, poo in the woods or use campsite facilities? All the loos I've seen seem to come in different sizes, shapes, forms.... I would be interested to know how people get on with these lovely things...

It's thread titles like these that explain why I don't camp.

(sorry silentcatastrophe!)

I'm of no use, sorry - I use campsite facilities. I have however considered a shewee to use in tent for emergencies, but fear it might provide ds with lots of entertainment and leave dh running for the hills...

Ha ha Shaz10! We usually use campsite facilities and take a spade with us. It's not always practical though. LOL at your dh running for the hills, desperate for a pee!!
