Quechua pop up tents/shelters

I'm researching a beach/garden/picnic/camping sun shelter for a very fair toddler to play in. Are these as good as they look? Has any one found anything else suitable? The jojomamanbebe SPF 50 looks ok but no groundsheet and more money.

Anyway, your thoughts please!

We have a big pop-up Quechua tent and it's amazing. Very easy to set up and take down.

I love my Quechua tent - mine is a 2 bedroom so not exactly a beach shelter but I think they are amazing value for money - all my hardcore camping friends were extremely impressed at the design and the quality. I highly recommend

I too have a big Quechua pop up tent ans the quality is fantastic, my parents have a 2 man version for the kids and it is very good.

Are they as easy to collapse as the videos online?
Do you find the material fairly robust?!
I think dh is over thinking this, I think they look cool

yep they are easy to collapse - just be really firm with them and show them you mean business!!

we have two and they fold up differently to each other as they were bought in consecutive years - now that's a pita.

I can just see myself struggling with it then collapsing in an undignified heap!

I manage to do my 4.2 on my own (although it is quite useful to have people to hold the corners if it's windy) so I think a sun shelter should be very easy

We tried a feiend's today and loved it- buying one tonight dh managed the collapse in under 5 mins ish- not bad for a first go!
Thanks for all your advice decision made!

I got a three-man one on sale a while ago and we tried it out today.

It popped up in 2 secs and I managed to put it down on my own - quite easy once I had worked it out
