by mistake.

In this weather??? (even more )

I'm off to bleach my eyes, so tell me about your favourite favourite small sites.

Or, failing that, look here. I've deliberately left in on UKCS, so you'll need to click on link there too if you want to see site. See how kind I am to those of a nervous disposition?

Sauna photo especially funny. Hmm, even more so after I've seen the headings for the kids' zone etc, so had a false sense of security, thinking maybe I misunderstood it and it meant "nature-y".

(Apologies to anyone actually into the scene, I'm sure it's, uhm, nice. I would however recommend warmer climates...)

yikes!

God Lord! Am so naive, I didn't think naturists really existed in this chilly country. I spend most of my camping trips layering clothes on rather than taking them off.

BendyBob · 20/05/2010 09:42

Good lord...! Mind you, it'd certainly cut down on the packing and that hideous pile of post holiday washing I always come home to

CMOTdibbler · 20/05/2010 09:44

Bloke I used to go out with, his parents were naturists, and would spend every weekend camping at their naturist club from approx end of April till October, and weeks there in the summer. I visited a couple of times and it was very nice actually

Casserole · 20/05/2010 10:07

Oh my GOD I know one of the sauna blokes - not kidding!!

My parents go to naturist camp sites. They have only got into it since I left home thank goodness! The keep going on and on about how much nicer than normal sites it is, everyone is so friendly, children love it, teenagers go with their parents etc. Argh! My dad is especially bad for banging on about how great it is but bless him he feels the need to be superior.

We went on holiday to a naturist holiday place in Spain once, I wasn't that keen but our Spanish friends knew the place and it did sound interesting so we went. And actually it was one of the best holidays we had with 2 small children. I'm not really into naturism but it does come with a lot of other things that I'm quite keen on - a very friendly atmosphere, strong sense of community, lots of communal activities. (Sundays were Communal Vegetarian Organic Paella day ). And the whole place was in a huge empty valley, they were rebuilding a 12th century village, it had woods and swimming pools and we got water from a natural spring. all quite idyllic.

I haven't been to others and wouldn't bother in the UK, too chilly, and I don't really like being naked in public, actually I'd rather wear clothes. But I can see the appeal if you can bear to take your clothes off in public.

and it was nice for the kids, they just pranced around naked the whole time which is what they liked to do at that age anyway.

Casserole, I couldn't help to laugh after seeing your post! Ha, that should make for a slightly uncomfortable chat when you meet next.

Not my scene, but ds (2) would probably think that's the coolest holiday in the world, as he's quite keen to just around in a nappy!

why would you! honestly, if a site has to employ child protection officers on hand, bit of a worry. Think best to keep to adults who have a choice imo.
Have to wonder how they manage not to catch themselves
