Zips on sleeping bags left or right-does it make much difference?

Just about to order 5 X sleeping bags-ouch and you can choose left or right zips or have no preference. We are 4 right handers 1 left.

Does it matter(thinking not)?

I was advised to get a left handed zip because I am right handed, but tbh I don't think it makes a lot of difference.

I thought the right/ left handed bit was that you had one of each to zip two sleeping bags together?

Not if it's a mummy style one with a head bit.

Oh God now why would I want to zip them together? Totally confused now

They're not mummy ones,envelope,the mummy ones make me feel chlostrophobic (sp???) just looking at them.

yes your right, i got a mummy one last year and i cant turn over in it - too weird so i wish id got square ones now and its handy to zip em together to steal body heat of a hot dh....

It is easier to zip and unzip left zipped sleeping bags for right-handers and vice versa, you end up having to use your non dominant hand for zipping if not.
