Loire - Chateaux des Marais - anyone been?

We're back off to the Vendee this year but I'm thinking about spending a few days here on the way back - has anyone been?

I went many years ago and it was lovely.Would go again.Its was pretty and peaceful,ideal for families with small children.

We went last year for a week on our way up from the Dordogne. We were in our own tent so got a crappy little pitch - the Eurocamp/ canvas holidays/ Keycamp tents, mobiles got much bigger and better placed pitches. The pool area was nice if crowded and one of the slides was broken for 4 days. The area itself isn't very interesting, although Chambord is impressive as are the local nuclear power stations. Lots of people like it and it's very English but we won't go again.
Not sure whether that's any help actually and it is just our opinion and we prefer much less commercial sites really.
