Calling all happy campers!

I am a complete camping novice and quite honestly the idea fills me with dread, but my husband has just bought us a family tent!!!! His idea of comfort and mine are poles apart. Can anyone recommend the vital things we need such as something comfy to sleep on (my main problem is it all sounds really uncomfortable) and any other 'must haves'. Also can anyone recommend any brillaint sites for 4/5 year old twins!

Just to fill you all in...well it all moved quite fast from 'the camping idea' when I posted this thread to ending up buying a second hand trailor tent (sorry couldn't face being on the floor) to going and coming back from a week in Somerset. Got to say I love the trailor tent and don't think we will be looking back. But the camp site we got from a last minute search on the internet was really ropey. So will choose more carefully next time. I was really surprised how close we were to everyone it was also really massive and ice-cream vans used to go past 3 times a day belting out 'popeye the sailor man'. Not quite the vision of being at one with nature I had in mind. Also, rather oddly some of the caravans were decked out in Christmas decorations!!!!!!!!!
