Not at sea level but you could be distinctly chilly - take warm layers of everything.

which campsite?

going to Glenbrittle for Whitsun week btw.

i camped a week ago. there were folk sking in the hills above us! v. cold at night but glorious during the day

plan for every eventuality chance are you will be sunburn, frost bitten and get trench foot from the rain. but heh look on the bright side the midgies won't be out yet!

haven't chosen a site yet - was thinking of the two in the cool camping book.

so, would it be sensible to take salopettes for evenings by the bbq?

I went to Skye once... not camping, but in a cottage. Pissed it down every day, it was really cold even though it was the middle of summer and the cottage was really naff.

It was still the best family holiday I've had in my life. What a place!!

Make sure you are close enough to Portree. What a town!!!

tootootired yes glenbrittle is one of the two in the cool camping book.

I would think a down jacket, warm socks& hat and woolly blanket would do. If it's not raining.

kayaking while be FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing Sligachan is the other one, that has more facilites (i.e. pub & play area) but is not so scenic and end-of-the-world heavenly.
