DH is forcing me to "do" a festival this summer. We have two under fours. I understand our camping plot is likely to be a ling walk from the car. I must also state that DH and I are NOT practical people.

Sooooo. We need a large tent that can accomodate a family if four, one of whom will be in a travel cot. It must be very lightweight and very easy to assemble (pop-up?). Preferably it would have two "rooms" so we are sepetate from the kids. Any ideas?

something like this? here this is the kind of thing I have used for Glastonbury for the last few years. It has 2 compartments and a bit in the middle for general sitting about.

I've invested in one of these too trolley as at Glastonbury for example it is a long walk to the campsites. You could also use the trolley to transport the kids around the festival.

though the only problem with the tent above is that you will need 2 people to put it up. not sure if they do pop up tents with more than one compartment.

Oooh, that trolley is a great idea. Thanks!

How easy is that tent to assemble? I cannot over emphasise the potenrial fir DH and I to mess upbpractical challenges! Also if you had a travel cot in one if the compartments wld there be space for a child to sleep next to it? Or could you have the travel cot in the corridor bit?

Have a look at this one

www.quechua.com/EN/seconds-base-4-2-73882403/

it's fab.. I hate putting up tents and it just pops up! You need to watch the video to see putting and taking down.

best camping purchase last year!

sorry link went wrong

for some reason links don't work properly on decathlon.

type decathlon 4.2 tent and you will get to the right page.

there would be plenty of room for a travel cot and single air bed, we can fit a double airbed into both compartments - though it will take up all the floorspace with a double.

I find mine easy to put up and have done it alone but it's easier with two to be honest, specially if it's windy.
