Any advice for a Keycamp newbie???

DH has booked us (me him DS1 aged 4 and DS2 aged 1) 10 days in Keycamp (La G-something) in August. Staying in a mobile home thingy. Any advice from seasoned Keycampers on ways to make the most of holiday and things to avoid (e.g. is the arrival welcome pack worth getting) would be much appreciated!

Well I prefer the green rolling hills around La G but it's more a case of different rather than not as nice. Lots of pine forests which smell lovely in the heat but it is quite flat in general.

Which campsite are you at? I'll try to think up some recommendations for that area...

La Rochelle is definitely worth a visit, has a good aquarium though it will be heaving if you go on a rainy day.

camping Bel - we'll have a 2.10yo and said 5mo

Oh MrsBadger - we tried for Camping Bel but we didnt manage to get anything for when we wanted. Looks lovely and v childfriendly.

we loved La G and would go back, just wanted beach this time

preferred bonne anse plage and FABBO FABBO one wiht lakeside beach south of boerdeaux

we've been to around 10 campsites in france and this was one of our top favourites - and most of them are better than the ones you get in the uk. plus most of the people seemed to go back each year. just didn't like the vandee as much as brittany
