Tables and chairs for family camping

Can anyone offer advice for buying table and chairs for camping with space at a premium - are we better buying a table and 5 chairs (folding type with cup holder in arm) or one of the tables with 4 stools attached and just take 1 chair ? Older kids now 14 and 12 so didn't know how sturdy the table with attached stools is (seen one in argos for just under £30. If we have one of these would we still want more comfortable chairs for sitting outside tent ? We are first time campers so don't want to spend a lot in case we only go once and never camp again !

We have armless folding chairs, which use up much less space than the ones with arms - useful when eating in the tent.

Do you mean lika a camping stool ?

No, not stools but chairs like this. The arms use up a lot of extra space as they splay out quite a way widthways making the chairs too big for our tent, but this type of seat fitted. Ours are quite comfortable and light weight (aluminium rather than steel).

I'd go for the folding umbrella style chairs with cup holders and a camping table, much nicer for lounging about and the tables fold completely flat so can go on the bottom of the boot without really taking up space. You can get both pretty cheaply (I think we paid a fiver each for the chairs and maybe £12 for the table - which you can always use at home in the garden or whatever)

Saw the type of chairs in Asda yesterday at 2 for £10 letrangere - they do look more comfortable I have to say - they also had tables but I didn't price those up.
