Will I survive campervan with a 12m old?

Hello, wondering about campervan hire (never done before) and taking DD who will be just 1y. Think I would sleep with her in double and put DH in awning thing. Is this all a stupid idea? Will it be more trouble than its worth? thank you in advance

We camped when ds was 9months. We had to get up to take him a walk at about 5.00 in the morning to stop him making a noise and waking everyone up and also took a drive in the car each evening to get him off to sleep. Apart from that don't remember any probs and have lovely photos from that holiday in the Lake District. Before children had a camper van holiday and loved it. I think you will be fine. If in doubt keep it short.

We have a vw camper and went on a 6 week tour of West Ireland when ds1 was 1. Our camper has a full width bed in the back and dh and I both shared it with ds, no problems.

It was fine, one of our best and most memorable holidays ever.

We have since camped in the same camper with our two dses several times, at various ages and its always lots of fun. I sleep better in our camper than I do at home.

We used to have a lovely time in our VW camper with one baby, we did the one adult sleep with baby/toddler and one up above.

It was only when we had 3 under 5 that it got too cramped and we had to sell it, with one baby/toddler it was great.

We met a couple in France last year who had travelled all the way to the South of Frnace and back with a toddler and 1 5 week old baby. They looked happy enough...

It'll be fine. We went camping with DS in a campervan several times from about 7 months onwards.

Oh gosh yes fine! We had full width bed and always slept with our toddler no problems. We too also slept better in our camper than at home
