Got a terrible urge to spend a couple of nights in a yurt this half term. Am I completely loopy? I wouldn't go in one without a woodburning stove, obv!

Well, we went in October last year, with weather still cool but a bit better than now, I think. The stove made it lovely and cosy inside, so I think go for it if you're not too fussed about being outside (didn't sit round fire etc, was nicer inside!)

Where are you going? We went to York Yurts, and we all loved it (2 adults and a toddler).

Hmm sorry, see oldish post!

We had the same discussion at breakfast this morning.

It just seems so long since we went camping. I am really missing it.

I'm itching to go away too twinset, wish the weather would improve now!

My DD was asking today while we were out walking if we could go camping as soon as it 'warms up a bit'

Yurts that are lined with felted wool are toasty warm. Canvas ones would be colder, esp at night when the woodburner has gone out - would only take a short time for temp to drop to really cold in the early hours.
