I can't decide where to go, We were looking at West France round Ile d'Oleron but then I looked into the Mountains and now have hopped over the border to look at Interlaken in Switzerland. We will be crossing to Zeebrugge, anyone got any recommendations, Is Switzerland really expensive, any ideas on weather etc. Any site recommendations in any of the areas? Thanks

Interlaken is a lovely area , town less so . Plenty to do there or thereabouts. Swiss franc is awful thoguh so yes liekly to be pricey. Weather can be variable but often hot and sunny, if stormy late afternoon, mid Summer.

you could, of course, go camping in French Alps or even Italian Alps (or both!) use the Euro and have fun!

we've camped in Switzerland for a couple of years at Camping Jungfrau in Lauterrunnen and had a lovely time.

weather was mixed both times - heavy rain storms overnight on a couple of oaccasions , but then glorious sunshine

Lovely area and would recommend it.

much preferred the green mountains to dry, sandy, brown beach campsites!
