Sites in Cornwall and Nth Devon with no booking

We're maybe off to the West Country in the summer holidays but want to travel about and not be tied down to turning up at certain sites on a set day. Are there any sites where we're likely to get in without booking in the summer?

Anyone?

only if it chucks it down and everyone cancels! have you looked at ukcampsites.co.uk. i think you will have to restrict your options to either really shitty ones or those that cram you in

I'll ask on the ukcampsites forum and see if anyone there knows of any. I've been to a really nice campsite in Dorset before and some in the Lakes.

We'll wild camp most of the time but could probably do with the occasional shower! Thanks.

There are always sites you can get into without booking, especially if you look a little back from the coast. We go camping in this area a lot and we never book more than a couple of days ahead. But we do like the sites with fewer facilities, not the sort where everyone goes for a week having booked it in Janaury and it's like a holiday camp.
