Can anyone recommend a campsite in Devon and ne n cornwall. Going end of June/begin July with3 kids - 11,10 & 6. Near beach & Village. Not too crowded or noisy.

this one near At Austell Carlyon Bay

Small family run site - went there last year - had a great time - Polkerris beach is great - some canoeing and kaycking for the children and plenty of rock pools.

About 45 min drive , if I remeber , to Falmouth - Maritime museum - can use tesco vouchersfor entry.

Also there is a Tesco store about 1.5 mile up the road from campsite for the essentials in life i.e wine !

Thanks. Had a quick look at their website and looks lovely - may come back to you with a few questions.

OK - BTW when we went last year our DS were just 7 & nearly 9 - hardly saw them when we were on site - off playing crazy golf , swimming etc with new playmates .

Bit scared it may be a bit rowdy as would like a "civilised" site but not a graveyard either. As long as it feels safe for the kids and have nice families there. Normally go abroad but trying Southern England this year for change so have been used with really nice sites with almost guaranteed good weather. (coming from a wet Ireland!) Looked at a small campsite too but nothing on it so kids might be totally bored. All they want to is to meet other kids to play with. Any thoughts on Devon too please?

have a look at Ruthern Valley near Bodmin - not sure if that is right area for you - but it was a lovely site, quiet, safe, very rural but only a short drive to beaches - we went to Padstow, Perranport, Falmouth etc. There is are also cabins there for hire.

River Dart Country Park is fab. Loads to do. Very civilised site. Half an hour from loads of lovely beaches. No night life but plenty of running round in the woods and rivers in the day time.
