Fingers crossed for good weather - we are going camping this weekend

Going to West Bay in Bridport this weekend. The kids are so excited. It's such great fun camping. All we need now is a tent . Meeting dh for lunch today to hunt for one.

So many tents to choose from. Checked out Osward Bailey's today and Millets. OW had a couple of nice ones that we might choose from.

Get a tent with as much space as you can afford. And lots of 'porch' space.

Have a great time. We went camping the other weekend & it was fairly wet but as there were so many of us (40+), we still had a riot.

I am looking forward to it. It's so nice to relax and let the kid's run around and make new friends and get lots of fresh air.

There was a huge game of ultimate frisbee going on. Best bit was when the teenagers took all the kids into the Forest (of Dean), leaving Adults to the wine etc. Mass cooking /breakfast fry ups are also great fun. We do this twice a year as only about £20 per weekend.

In the summer we have 2 weeks camping in France just as a family though.

So who were the group that you went camping with?

All friends from church. It's great fun, and some non-church attending partners come along and meet everyone with no pressure, as long as they bring some beer/wine for the collection

Just been out to buy the tent and the gas burner. And look at the bloomin' weather!!

The forecast is great for this weekend - 29 degrees!!!

You will have a fab time.

A good tip is to freeze a carton of milk, it acts like an ice block in the cool box and will be good for the morning that your fresh milk has run out for that essental cuppa!

Thanks milliways - love your tip with the milk - what a fab idea. Blu we have a lovely tent. Big enough to sleep 6/7 people so plenty of room for when the kids get bigger and for any additions to the sparkler family - if I can talk dh round that is. LOL
